Create Paper Plate Butterflies With Dot Markers Instructions

Blue Bird Day and Musical Instruments to Make At Home

Skill Check

Create this fun and cute activity with your children. Allow them to decorate the butterflies however they’d like to express their creativity! Remember to offer positive praise, however, they choose to decorate the wings! This reinforces children to try things by themselves and to show pride in the work they do!

Growing My Skills

Gather your materials

Cut the paper plate down the middle making two pieces

Using coloring materials, let your kids decorate the plates (wings) however they’d like

When they’re all done, connect the rounded part of the plates together and glue one on top of the other

Place a colorful popsicle stick in the middle of the plates

Decorate the body however you’d like and add in some eyes and facial expression!

Glue the pipe cleaners on top of the head to make antennas

The goal of this week focuses on using all the muscles in your body at the same time to create a ball pose while on your back.

Growing My Skills

To build up strength in this position, hug a ball to your stomach using your arms and legs

Have your child pop bubbles with their feet or kick a balloon while lying on their back!

Challenge your eyes by reading a book in this position, balancing the book by your knees and lifting your head to read

Toss a ball to your child while they are on their back and see if they can kick it back to you

Reach your right leg along with the left leg still tight to your stomach, bring the right leg back in and try it on the other side
