While reading along to the story, ask your child what the caterpillar will eat next and ask them to hold the picture up for you
You can also ask them how many of that food the caterpillar ate for the kids to practice counting

Create this fun and cute activity with your children. Allow them to decorate the butterflies however they’d like to express their creativity! Remember to offer positive praise, however, they choose to decorate the wings! This reinforces children to try things by themselves and to show pride in the work they do!
Growing My Skills
Gather your materials
Cut the paper plate down the middle making two pieces
Using coloring materials, let your kids decorate the plates (wings) however they’d like
When they’re all done, connect the rounded part of the plates together and glue one on top of the other
Place a colorful popsicle stick in the middle of the plates
Decorate the body however you’d like and add in some eyes and facial expression!
Glue the pipe cleaners on top of the head to make antennas
Movement Time
Activity: Be A Rollie Pollie
Materials:
Ball, book, stuffed animal to hug

The goal of this week focuses on using all the muscles in your body at the same time to create a ball pose while on your back.
Growing My Skills
To build up strength in this position, hug a ball to your stomach using your arms and legs
Have your child pop bubbles with their feet or kick a balloon while lying on their back!
Challenge your eyes by reading a book in this position, balancing the book by your knees and lifting your head to read
Toss a ball to your child while they are on their back and see if they can kick it back to you
Reach your right leg along with the left leg still tight to your stomach, bring the right leg back in and try it on the other side
Mealtime
Activity: Ants On a Log Snack
Ingredients:
4 celery sticks or pretzel rods
2 Tablespoons peanut butter or Sunbutter
1/4 cup raisins or sliced grapes
Materials:
Knife
Plates, spoon, or spatulas

The goal of this activity is to have a healthy bug-themed snack, practice counting the ants.

Have an adult cut the celery sticks in half, let the child rinse the celery
Spread an even layer of peanut or sunbutter on the celery stick or pretzel rod
Place raisins on the peanut/sunbutter and eat
Feel free to add raisins in accordance with the song

Practice identifying feelings, making faces in the mirror and wearing masks
