Blue Bird Day’s pediatric therapeutic facilities were designed by occupational therapist and child development specialist, Dr. Laura Mraz.
Every detail of each Blue Bird Day facility was designed with the child’s needs in mind. The goal of these environments are to promote client participation and engagement.
The evidence-based approach is integrated throughout the facility.
Meaningful visual supports throughout the facility to facilitate purposeful communication.
Minimally designed spaces remove unnecessary distractions.
A variety of suspended swings, crash pads, and obstacle course materials are used in the sensorimotor gyms to get bodies moving.
All transitions between spaces are carefully timed according to program schedules in order to maximize therapeutic results.
