My Story

Growing up, I was always interested in working with children. During my undergraduate career, I constantly volunteered and participated in organizations such as the Special Olympics, NAMI, and Autism Speaks with the intention of developing a career in pediatrics. Fast forward to working at Blue Bird, I found myself very interested and curious in ABA. After using ABA concepts as a Therapeutic Assistant, I found myself looking for more information and asking about work as an RBT and looking into ABA Masters programs in order to further my development and engagement with our families.

My Education

Masters of Arts in Special Education (Applied Behavior Analysis) (current student)
Arizona State University

Bachelor of Science in Disability and Human Development
University of Illinois at Chicago

My Blue Bird Day

I really enjoy working in different settings that center’s their mission statement towards multidisciplinary therapy and evidence-based practices towards a pediatric clientele. It allows for everyone to collaborate towards one common goal. This organization has allowed me to grow and challenge myself into new opportunities that I can apply towards building a strong foundation with our families and children.

Blue Bird Day

Blue Bird Day fosters socialization, sensory regulation, and pre-academic learning in children ages 2–7 years in therapeutic rotations that simulate  preschool and kindergarten settings. Our compassionate therapists practice a relationship-based and family-centered approach, provide parent training, and collaborate on goals and individualized intensive treatment plans for your child.

We believe in a collaborative and multi-disciplinary team approach to therapy.  A team of occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, dietitians, developmental therapists, behavioral therapists, physical therapists, and therapeutic assistants are created for each child to ensure child and family are fully supported and the best possible results are achieved.

Options for individualized, group and virtual therapy sessions are available as well.
