My Story
I have always been passionate about mental health and helping people. Therapy has changed my life and drastically improved my mental health and I have always wanted to do the same for others, which is why I have also always been the “therapist” for all my friends. Additionally, I have worked with kids my whole life (as a nanny, dance instructor, summer camp counselor, and volunteer) and believe that being a Therapeutic Assistant at Blue Bird Day allows me to combine my passions for mental health and working with children. I am ecstatic to contribute to an amazing organization and work with their incredible team!
My Advocacy
I am a huge supporter of Mental Health organizations and Diversity Equity Inclusion efforts/organizations.
My Professional Goals
- Attend Graduate School / get my Masters degree in Marriage Family Therapy or Social Work.
- Work with children.
- Make a difference in my community.
Blue Bird Day
Blue Bird Day fosters socialization, sensory regulation, and pre-academic learning in children ages 2–7 years in therapeutic rotations that simulate preschool and kindergarten settings. Our compassionate therapists practice a relationship-based and family-centered approach, provide parent training, and collaborate on goals and individualized intensive treatment plans for your child.
We believe in a collaborative and multi-disciplinary team approach to therapy. A team of occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, dietitians, developmental therapists, behavioral therapists, physical therapists, and therapeutic assistants are created for each child to ensure child and family are fully supported and the best possible results are achieved.
Options for individualized, group and virtual therapy sessions are available as well.
