My Story

I have always loved working with kids and grew up with two parents who are physical therapists. When I expressed interest in becoming a teacher, my mom encouraged me to look into speech-language pathology and work in the schools. After one class in communication sciences and disorders, I fell in love with the field and helping people communicate. In addition, I found a passion for working with underrepresented and multicultural population.

My Advocacy

I am an advocate for underrepresented, multicultural populations and their communication needs. Additionally, I am an advocate for alternative communication different from verbal language alone.

My Education

Bachelors of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders,
Illinois State University

Masters of Science in Communicative Disorders,
San Francisco State University

My Professional Goals

I aim to one day become certified in Assistive Technology and work more with AAC and technology.

Blue Bird Day

Blue Bird Day fosters socialization, sensory regulation, and pre-academic learning in children ages 2–7 years in therapeutic rotations that simulate  preschool and kindergarten settings. Our compassionate therapists practice a relationship-based and family-centered approach, provide parent training, and collaborate on goals and individualized intensive treatment plans for your child.

We believe in a collaborative and multi-disciplinary team approach to therapy.  A team of occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, dietitians, developmental therapists, behavioral therapists, physical therapists, and therapeutic assistants are created for each child to ensure child and family are fully supported and the best possible results are achieved.

Options for individualized, group and virtual therapy sessions are available as well.
