My Story

I knew I always wanted to work in healthcare going into undergrad, so I started my degree in human biology. I explored the post-profession careers in healthcare and came across occupational therapy. I did a deep dive into the profession and ended up observing a family friend who is a school occupational therapist. I absolutely loved everything about it! I observed a few more practice areas and decided this was the career for me! My fieldwork at a preschool in the western suburbs solidified that I was destined for pediatrics. And now here I am today!

My Blue Bird Day Goals

  1. My professional goals are to continue to develop clinical expertise in the pediatric population, specifically with ASD clients.
  2. Another goal is to mentor newly graduated OT’s and continue to be a fieldwork educator for OT students.
