My Story

I always knew that I wanted a career that would help me form connections with people that would benefit the health and happiness of my community. When I started as a Therapeutic Assistant (TA) at Blue Bird Day, I knew that was exactly what this organization was about. After a year as a TA building relationships with the kiddos and observing all the different disciplines and the impact that they make on the lives of students and families, I got my RBT certification and began treating clients with the guidance and supervision of our wonderful BCBAs.

My Blue Bird Day

Blue Bird Day is such an incredible environment of brilliant problem solvers coming together from different backgrounds and disciplines to set our kiddos up for success. Each discipline brings a different set of skills and understanding to ensure that our kiddo’s needs and goals are met. I have witnessed the compassion, collaboration, and creativity used in this multidisciplinary setting change so many lives.

My Blue Bird Day Goals

  1. I plan to attend a Masters of Occupational Therapy program to increase my knowledge of other disabilities and insult and injury across the lifespan.
