My Story

I always enjoyed psychology, anatomy, neuroscience, human development courses in school, and I am a creative person. The occupational therapy profession combined all of my interests, and it provides so many opportunities to be creative and problem solve. Also, I have a lot of sensory quirks, and I probably would have benefited from OT as a child!

My Blue Bird Day

I completed one of my fieldwork experiences at Blue Bird Day as an occupational therapy student. I am beyond excited to continue working with Blue Bird’s supportive and dedicated team and the amazing students!

My Advocacy

’m always trying to find different ways to get involved with various advocacy organizations. Recently, I designed a sticker for a fundraiser, which helped raise money for a racial justice organization, Color of Change. I’ve also been involved in Best Buddies and Girls on the Run for the past seven years.

My Blue Bird Day Goals

  1. Be a lifelong learner! Since graduating from OT school, I’ve committed to attending at least one educational webinar per month that relates to occupational therapy practice. So far, I’ve participated in webinars on early intervention, sensory integration in telehealth, and adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and early trauma.
  2. Also, I’m aiming to read and utilize more research in my practice consistently, and hopefully, get involved in research in the future.
