My Story

In 2006, I dislocated my right shoulder and had to have surgery to repair my labrum. I was then required to attend physical therapy twice a week after school (clearly, every high schooler’s dream after-school activity). It was a world I was totally unfamiliar with at the time, but I became fascinated by it. During my senior year in high school, I was fortunate enough to take Anatomy & Physiology and it deepened my curiosity and passion to understand how the human body functions. The rest is history 🙂

My Blue Bird Day

I enjoy working at Blue Bird Day because I’m able to learn so much on a daily basis due to the multi-disciplinary approach that is at its foundation. Also, being able to have such direct interaction with every child’s parent(s), family, caregiver, etc. truly sets up him or her for the ultimate success.

Testimonials

I would like top nominate BYRON for a SPOT award! Whenever I am at NC he does so well with all the kids and has great relationships with their families.

My Peers

I would like to nominate Byron for the SPOT award for always having an awesome obstacle course ready to go everyday that is really fun for the kids (and myself) and that really helps the kids fulfill their weekly goals! He is also, almost always around the corner, ready to help out when any kids are having a tough time. Thanks Byron!
