Name the moment that inspired you to take your career path.After 6 months of working with children with Autism, I pursued to further my education in Special Education and Applied Behavior Analysis. Around that same time, my nephew received a diagnosis in which my passion to support children and their families continued to grow. It inspired me to grow professionally so I could educate and teach others on effective treatment strategies and the field of ABA!
What do you specialize in? Since 2011, I have had the opportunity to grow within the field of ABA. I specialize in working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders using evidence-based treatment strategies including verbal behavior, naturalistic environmental teaching, and discrete trial teaching, to increase functional communication, play skills, social skills, and adaptive living skills. Learning through play and teaching functional communication to decrease challenging behaviors and barriers to learning is an every day approach. Certified to provide supervision to therapists that are pursuing fieldwork/practicum experience to obtain their BCBA, BCaBA, or RBT.

Favorite therapeutic swing?Platform swing to promote eye contact, vocal requests, and social interactions with peers!
What do you consider to be your greatest accomplishment? Graduating with honors for my Masters degree within a year and working full time as a BCaBA at an ABA clinic out of state.
Books or Movies?I enjoy a variety of TV series more!
Where would you go on your dream vacation?I love to travel and open to all travel destinations and locations I have not been to.
What is your favorite children’s book? The Very Hungry Caterpillar or Rainbow Fish
What skill are you most proud of? My drive and compassion to help others. I feel that I am a natural leader and approachable to team members and families.
Winter or Summer? I love the winter holidays and big snowflakes make me happy! However, I also enjoy a nice sunny day soaking up the sunshine on a patio or rooftop.
