My Story

I have always been interested in working with children. During my college career, I knew that I wanted to help children, but I didn’t know in what way. At National Louis University, I decided to major in Psychology with a minor in Human Services because of the many career paths one can take when in this field. While studying Psychology, I fell in love with all of the classes and learned more about occupational therapy. This inspired me to pursue a career path in occupational therapy. I was able to experience working more closely with children during two internships, and I realized that my passion grew stronger when working with them one-on-one and in group settings. I am very excited to have the opportunity to be a Therapeutic Assistant at Blue Bird Day. This position will allow me to enhance my knowledge and get to know amazing therapists! I am delighted to be a part of a team that fully supports its staff, children, and families.

My Blue Bird Day Goals

  1. I am looking to obtain my Masters degree in Occupational Therapy to one day become a Pediatric Occupational Therapist.
