Professional Goals

  1. My goal is to learn and collaborate with other disciplines at Blue Bird.

My Story

Ever since I was young, I knew I wanted to work with children. As I began my journey to become an occupational therapist, I started to work at an ABA company for extra experience and fell in love. The basic principles of behavior modification just made sense and I changed career paths. I enjoyed coming to work every day and seeing the progress the kids made in a structured, modified environment. I then earned my master’s in special education and became a BCBA in July of 2020. It is exciting to come into work every day and be around people working toward the same goal: improving the lives of children with Autism. I chose to become a BCBA to help children learn to live fuller lives and to teach others to do the same. I can’t imagine a career doing anything else.

My Blue Bird Day

I enjoy collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide the best therapeutic interventions for our kids and their families.

Blue Bird Day

Blue Bird Day fosters socialization, sensory regulation, and pre-academic learning in children ages 2–7 years in therapeutic rotations that simulate  preschool and kindergarten settings. Our compassionate therapists practice a relationship-based and family-centered approach, provide parent training, and collaborate on goals and individualized intensive treatment plans for your child.

We believe in a collaborative and multi-disciplinary team approach to therapy.  A team of occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, dietitians, developmental therapists, behavioral therapists, physical therapists, and therapeutic assistants are created for each child to ensure child and family are fully supported and the best possible results are achieved.

Options for individualized, group and virtual therapy sessions are available as well.
