My Story

Growing up, I always knew I wanted to work with children. I enjoyed volunteering at different organizations and hospitals. However, I was not sure what field/career path I wanted to take. It wasn’t until I interned at a clinic similar to BBD that I discovered developmental therapy. Once I received my undergraduate degree, I decided to take a couple years off to work. After a few years, I attended a community college to take child development courses to make sure this was something I wanted to do. After finishing the courses at the community college, I finally decided to enroll for my master’s degree at Elmhurst University. After graduating, I worked as a developmental therapist through the Illinois Early Intervention program.

My Blue Bird Day

I am new with Blue Bird Day, but very excited to start working with a multi-disciplinary team! I look forward to working with a team full of talent and desire to work with children of all capabilities!

My Blue Bird Day Goals

  1. I am eager to build my knowledge on ASD, sensory integration, and DIR/Floortime.

Dominique is an amazing partner in the classroom. She is fun and energetic even when [Client] tells her to stop singing!
