My Story

I knew I was destined to be an occupational therapist when I was in junior high school. As I began deciding and discussing what I wanted to do in life, my dad mentioned occupational therapy. He thought it would be the perfect crossover of my interests of mental health, pediatrics, and holistic health. I shadowed a therapist working on brushing teeth with a child and I knew that was what I wanted to do. Though simple, I knew after seeing that work, seeing it help someone so directly, I knew that’s what I wanted to do.

My Education

Doctorate of Occupational Therapy,
University of Kansas Medical Center

My Professional Goals

My main professional goal is working towards formal certifications in mental health, feeding, and sensory processing.

Blue Bird Day

Blue Bird Day fosters socialization, sensory regulation, and pre-academic learning in children ages 2–7 years in therapeutic rotations that simulate  preschool and kindergarten settings. Our compassionate therapists practice a relationship-based and family-centered approach, provide parent training, and collaborate on goals and individualized intensive treatment plans for your child.

We believe in a collaborative and multi-disciplinary team approach to therapy.  A team of occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, dietitians, developmental therapists, behavioral therapists, physical therapists, and therapeutic assistants are created for each child to ensure child and family are fully supported and the best possible results are achieved.

Options for individualized, group and virtual therapy sessions are available as well.
