My Story
Working with children has been my life path. From an early age, I have had the opportunity to work with children in a variety of settings. I graduated with a degree in education and enjoyed working with littles as a kindergarten teacher for most of my career. Throughout my teaching career, I followed a child-centered approach and incorporated play-based learning in my classroom. I truly enjoyed developing my knowledge and capacity to better meet the needs of my young diverse learners. I later discovered developmental therapy, which provided the opportunity to work one-on-one with each child and their family to support in reaching those early milestones. I loved the idea of “bridging the gap” by working with children during early childhood to encourage their growth and learning before transitioning to school. I have since enjoyed the holistic, whole child approach in developmental therapy and look forward to continuing to learn and grow in this profession!

I love their holistic, collaborative, and multidisciplinary approach.
Blue Bird Day
Blue Bird Day fosters socialization, sensory regulation, and pre-academic learning in children ages 2–7 years in therapeutic rotations that simulate preschool and kindergarten settings. Our compassionate therapists practice a relationship-based and family-centered approach, provide parent training, and collaborate on goals and individualized intensive treatment plans for your child.
We believe in a collaborative and multi-disciplinary team approach to therapy. A team of occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, dietitians, developmental therapists, behavioral therapists, physical therapists, and therapeutic assistants are created for each child to ensure child and family are fully supported and the best possible results are achieved.
Options for individualized, group and virtual therapy sessions are available as well.
