My Story
I was pursuing social work in undergrad because I have always had a passion for giving back to my community. However, my grandmother fell ill while I was in school and was in a hospital followed by a skilled nursing facility for a few months. It was then that I had my first exposure to occupational therapy and I fell in love with the profession. I immediately changed my career path and I couldn’t be happier with my decision!
My Blue Bird Day
I completed an internship with Blue Bird while in undergrad and came back a second time for a Level II fieldwork rotation during graduate school. I love this company and am thrilled to be coming back again as an Occupational Therapist! I value developing meaningful relationships with our clients and families.
My Advocacy
I am passionate about social justice advocacy, which is why I was a founding member of the Coalition of Occupational Therapy Advocates for Diversity (COTAD) chapter at North Central College. This is an organization I will continue to support throughout my career.
My Blue Bird Day Goals
- I want to continue learning and growing my skills each day through team collaboration, research, and continuing education opportunities.
