My Story

Throughout my professional life, I have always been driven by a desire to make a difference in peoples’ lives. I began my career as a middle school teacher, then decided to become a speech-language pathologist after I saw the impact my school’s SLP had on our shared students. I have had the privilege of working as an SLP in many different settings including Early Intervention, nursing homes, preschool, and elementary school, and have seen the importance of the ability to communicate across the lifespan. I feel very lucky to focus on helping children acquire the skills they need to communicate at Blue Bird Day!
