My Story

Starting as an ASL interpreting major, I felt that the Deaf community didn’t have equal access to therapy sessions and from there it evolved to helping the Deaf community with access to mental health resources. Blue Bird Day is a great opportunity to learn and also to work with autistic children to help lesson the trauma that many autistic adults now faced growing up on the spectrum.

My Advocacy

I support the Deaf community, LGBTQ+ community, Neurodivergent community…

My Blue Bird Day Goals

  1. Professionally I want to be an interpreter for mental health such as therapy, doctors meetings and such.
  2. While I work towards that goal I also want to advocate for neurodivergent and disabled children in getting equal access to education.
