My Story

Like so many of us, I always knew I wanted to work with kids but wasn’t sure which direction to head in. After taking my very first class, I knew this was exactly the specialization I wanted in my career which was a really exciting feeling! Fast forward to grad school, I had the privilege of teaching the Intro to Communication Disorders course. I got to witness many other students experience their aha moments, similar to what I felt, which was even more reassuring that I was incredibly passionate about the field.

My Blue Bird Day

This is my first year with Blue Bird Day. Prior to BBD, I worked as a school-based SLP in multiple PreK through 8th grade buildings.

My Blue Bird Day Goals

  1. I would like to increase my exposure to a variety of therapeutic techniques. Specifically, I would like to expand upon my knowledge of AAC devices and gain my PECS certification. I also look forward to opportunities to grow my clinical expertise in feeding and oral motor therapy.
