My Story
Growing up, I wanted to be a teacher just like my mom. I was leaning towards Special Education until my mom had me observe the speech therapist at her school and I was sold! I have been very fortunate to observe and work in school, clinic, and hospital settings with clients ranging from 1 year to 80 years old. I have enjoyed all of my experiences, but my heart has always been with the little ones!
My Blue Bird Day
Working in a facility that emphasizes a multidisciplinary approach has allowed me to grow so much as a therapist in a short amount of time. I am constantly learning from my colleagues and everyone is always open to collaborating. We all have different areas of expertise and work together to problem-solve for each individual kiddo.
My Blue Bird Day Goals
- Continue PROMPT training and work towards Certification
- Continue to develop my repertoire of American Sign Language (ASL)
- Consistently participate in continuing education courses to increase and expand my knowledge in different areas of my field
