My Story

I first became interested in speech-language pathology in high school when I assisted in special education classrooms during my free period. The students in each classroom worked with our school speech-language pathologist. I was inspired by this speech-language pathologist, as she worked with her students to increase functional communication and encourage self-advocacy. I feel passionate about helping children find their voice as they learn and grow and am grateful for the opportunity to do that at Blue Bird Day!

My Blue Bird Day Goals

  1. Supervise a speech-language pathology graduate student clinician.
  2. Receive Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets (PROMPT) certification.
  3. Increase familiarity with a variety of low-tech and high-tech augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices.
