My Story
I have had a strong interest in helping children with disabilities for many years. I attended Benedictine University for a few years working toward a major in special education, but then changed direction to the Physical Therapist Assistant program at Morton College due to my strong interest in fitness and health. I have loved working with children with special needs for the past 13 years in the Illinois Early Intervention program.
My Blue Bird Day
I recently learned about Blue Bird Day in Wheaton, and am eager to be a part of Blue Bird Day’s team of professionals.
My Blue Bird Day Goals
- My goal is to better serve children with autism and special needs. I have taken courses on autism and have wanted to learn more about Sensory Processing Disorder, ABA therapy, and other methods used in working with children with autism and disabilities. I am in the process of completing online RBT training.
