My Story
The small private school I attended from preschool to twelfth grade was unable to accommodate students with disabilities due to a lack of resources. In my time there, I advocated and educated the community on the importance of accessibility for different learners. I taught a special needs class at a local Sunday school where I worked one-on-one and individualized the program for each child. I found it extremely rewarding to be able to make a lasting difference in the lives of children and their families. As an RBT, I enjoy coaching children in developing their daily life, communication, social, and academic skills. I love the holistic approach of ABA because it helps improve each child’s level of independence.
My Blue Bird Day
I love Blue Bird Day’s multidisciplinary approach and I am excited to learn and collaborate with the team.
My Blue Bird Day Goals
- I have a special interest in working with kiddos who have limited verbal communication and use AAC devices. My goal is to become a speech-language pathologist and help children flourish and reach their full potential, by providing them with the tools they need to effectively express themselves.
