My Story

When I was in high school, I decided to serve as a Student Leader in the Adaptive P.E. program as a substitute for gym. This experience was extremely rewarding and taught me a lot about individuals with learning differences, notably Autism Spectrum Disorders. From that point on, I was inspired to pursue a helping profession and found my niche in the area of communication.

My Blue Bird Day

I came to Blue Bird after having worked with the adult population for many years. Since my arrival, I have been blown away by the comprehensive style of the program and the dedication to meet each child’s individual needs. Additionally, the collaborative, supportive nature of the staff lends itself to the growth of both the children and the staff.

My Blue Bird Day Goals

  1. To empower each child by facilitating communicative efficacy.
  2. To maximize each individual’s social and vocational opportunities across the lifespan.
