My Professional Goals

My professional goal is to gain experience as a BT at Blue Bird, learn and grow with my team and peers, continue to refresh and gain knowledge about ABA and Autism. At a future time I’d like to apply to get my Masters in ABA and continue to work with kids who need therapeutic services. Along the way I know I’m going to learn so much about career paths from my peers and I’m excited to embark on this journey with people who are likeminded.

My Story

I started nannying a wonderful 7-year-old and later I was given the opportunity to work with kids with developmental disorders and autism. I continued to realize that working with children is very rewarding and I felt a sense of satisfaction knowing I could contribute to improving their overall quality of life and help them build social skills so they can live their life to their fullest potential.

Blue Bird Day

Blue Bird Day fosters socialization, sensory regulation, and pre-academic learning in children ages 2–7 years in therapeutic rotations that simulate  preschool and kindergarten settings. Our compassionate therapists practice a relationship-based and family-centered approach, provide parent training, and collaborate on goals and individualized intensive treatment plans for your child.

We believe in a collaborative and multi-disciplinary team approach to therapy.  A team of occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, dietitians, developmental therapists, behavioral therapists, physical therapists, and therapeutic assistants are created for each child to ensure child and family are fully supported and the best possible results are achieved.

Options for individualized, group and virtual therapy sessions are available as well.
