Professional Goals

  1. While at Blue Bird Day, I hope to find an area of pediatric therapy that resonates with me.
  2. I am also looking to apply to graduate schools this year to further my educational pursuits and get my Masters degree.

My Story

Growing up in San Francisco, I saw a mental health crisis first-hand, inspiring me to work in communities that needed mental health services. During my undergraduate studies, I became increasingly interested in working with children within the field of mental health. In the last six months, I’ve had the amazing opportunity to serve as an AmeriCorps member with Chicago HOPES for Kids, educating children in shelters across Chicago with an emphasis on literacy. Through my time at HOPES, I’ve discovered I want to work closely with the mental health aspects of childhood education. Blue Bird Day will allow me to work in the clinical field of childhood education and I am beyond excited to join this amazing team.

My Advocacy

I work with Chicago HOPES for Kids supporting literacy programs for children in shelters across Chicago.

My Education

Bachelors of Psychology,
Loyola University Chicago

My Blue Bird Day

As I begin my time at Blue Bird Day, I look forward to learning from the therapists, children, and families.

Blue Bird Day

Blue Bird Day fosters socialization, sensory regulation, and pre-academic learning in children ages 2–7 years in therapeutic rotations that simulate  preschool and kindergarten settings. Our compassionate therapists practice a relationship-based and family-centered approach, provide parent training, and collaborate on goals and individualized intensive treatment plans for your child.

We believe in a collaborative and multi-disciplinary team approach to therapy.  A team of occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, dietitians, developmental therapists, behavioral therapists, physical therapists, and therapeutic assistants are created for each child to ensure child and family are fully supported and the best possible results are achieved.

Options for individualized, group and virtual therapy sessions are available as well.
