Natalia A, OTD, OTR/L

Where are you from? I was born and raised in Colombia; however, I spent the majority of childhood and young adulthood living in St. Louis, Missouri.
What did you study?Bachelors of Arts in Psychology,
The Ohio State University

Clinical Doctorate of Occupational Therapy,
Washington University in St. Louis

What do you specialize in? Pediatrics.
Coffee or Tea?Coffee, all the way.
Favorite therapeutic swing?Lycra swings are the best! They provide kiddos with great sensory input while allowing me to work on so many different skills, such as motor coordination, strength, balance, etc.
What you do consider your greatest accomplishment? My greatest accomplishment would have to be adapting to a new culture and lifestyle when my family moved to the United States. I came only knowing a few words of English, so for my first couple months in school, I would have to sit outside my second-grade classroom with an ESL teacher learning both the curriculum and language. It was tough but I am so grateful for the lessons I learned as a young kiddo about being open and understanding to different types of people/experiences different from my own.
Books or Movies?Movies — I love spending quality time with Netflix.
Where would you go on your dream vacation? The Maldives.
What is your favorite children’s book? “Oh, the Places You’ll Go!” by Dr. Seuss.
What skill are you most proud of? I am fiercely loyal and passionate in all aspects of my life.
Winter or Summer?Winter, I love the snow (but this answer may change after I experience my first Chicago winter).
