My Story
I knew early in high school I was interested in a profession in the health field. I was always drawn to relationship based professions. Prior to starting college, I observed an aunt who is an SLP. This experience began the start of my interest in becoming an SLP. I have enjoyed working with families, caregivers, other therapists, and patients and have seen first hand that communication is not an exclusive skill. Everyone deserves to communicate, regardless of ability, culture, or language and I am thankful that I get to be a part of others’ journey!
My Blue Bird Day
I completed a pediatric clinical rotation here at Blue Bird Day during graduate school! I had such a positive experience being a part of a team with a multidisciplinary therapeutic approach. Seeing the progress the children made during my clinical rotation had a huge impact on my graduate career.
My Blue Bird Day Goals
- Increase my proficiency with AAC.
- Gain more experience with Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach to Feeding.
