My Story
I decided to become a speech-language pathologist due to my interest in both the school and medical settings. When exploring the field, I thought this was a great blend of my two interests. Through the courses and clinical experiences, I felt that this was a field for me! I have always loved and enjoyed working with young children and have had great experiences that allowed me to strengthen my interest in pediatrics. These experiences include being a Behavior Technician, an infant hearing screener, and implementing and utilizing reading programs with young students.
My Blue Bird Day Goals
- My goals for my career are to be able to gain continued experiences and expand my knowledge of different communication needs. I also want to gain the opportunity to collaborate with both caregivers and other disciplines to provide continued success and growth for the child.
