My Story

I’ve always been very passionate about child development and the importance of supporting children from a young age. From my first child development course in college, I knew I wanted to do something that included this work. Because of this, and my interest in clinical psychology, I decided to pursue a degree in Interdisciplinary Psychology and a minor in Social Work. Growing up I loved to babysit and work with kids, so in school I worked at the Child Development Lab at my college. With this, I learned even more about the development of children and got to work with all different age groups. With all of my interests, I recently decided I want to go into the field of Occupational Therapy and plan on pursuing this within the next couple of years. Helping children grow and reach their goals is something that really excites me, and I am so excited to help do this here at Blue Bird Day and into my future career.

My Blue Bird Day

I saw Blue Bird Day when searching for jobs and immediately knew it seemed like a great place to work at with a lot of passion for helping children reach their goals.

My Advocacy

  1. I am passionate about advocating for vulnerable populations that can’t advocate for themselves, such as initiatives that prevent childhood trauma and advocating for behavioral health resources to be more widely available, specifically for younger populations.

My Blue Bird Day Goals

  1. My professional goals include making a positive impact on the lives of the children that I work with and helping them to grow.
  2. I also have the goal of getting into school for Occupational Therapy.
