I hope to get my masters in school psychology/educational psychology next year. I want to become a licensed school psychologist.
My Story
I just recently graduated from Purdue and I wanted to find a job that would give me experience working with children, specifically those who are neurodivergent. I minored in Human Development and Family Sciences, and many of those classes focused on atypical child development. I decided I wanted to work with kids after taking some of these classes, especially since it aligns with what I learned in college and with my future career goals. I chose to become a therapeutic assistant because I want to work with kids and broaden my knowledge of child development in a real-life setting.
Blue Bird Day
Blue Bird Day fosters socialization, sensory regulation, and pre-academic learning in children ages 2–7 years in therapeutic rotations that simulate preschool and kindergarten settings. Our compassionate therapists practice a relationship-based and family-centered approach, provide parent training, and collaborate on goals and individualized intensive treatment plans for your child.
We believe in a collaborative and multi-disciplinary team approach to therapy. A team of occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, dietitians, developmental therapists, behavioral therapists, physical therapists, and therapeutic assistants are created for each child to ensure child and family are fully supported and the best possible results are achieved.
Options for individualized, group and virtual therapy sessions are available as well.
