My Story

Throughout high school, I had a huge interest in psychology, which inspired me to major in Neuroscience in college. I always knew I wanted to help people, and fell in love with clinical therapy and areas like occupational therapy and speech language pathology. A few years ago, I had the opportunity to nanny a child with autism for the summer, which confirmed my interest in therapy and studying neurological and developmental disorders. I am so glad to be here at Blue Bird Day to further my experience in pediatric therapy and strive toward my career goal of being a speech language pathologist.

My Education

Bachelor’s of Arts in Neuroscience,
Kinesiology minor,
DePauw University

My Professional Goals

  1. Continue to grow and develop professional skills as a therapist.
  2. Work towards a master’s education in speech pathology.

Blue Bird Day

Blue Bird Day fosters socialization, sensory regulation, and pre-academic learning in children ages 2–7 years in therapeutic rotations that simulate  preschool and kindergarten settings. Our compassionate therapists practice a relationship-based and family-centered approach, provide parent training, and collaborate on goals and individualized intensive treatment plans for your child.

We believe in a collaborative and multi-disciplinary team approach to therapy.  A team of occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, dietitians, developmental therapists, behavioral therapists, physical therapists, and therapeutic assistants are created for each child to ensure child and family are fully supported and the best possible results are achieved.

Options for individualized, group and virtual therapy sessions are available as well.
