Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Cognitive Science,

My Story

Ever since I was young, I’ve been fascinated by the human mind and its complexities. This curiosity led me to pursue a BA in Psychology and Cognitive Science from Northwestern University. My academic journey deepened my understanding of mental health and solidified my passion for this field. Throughout my studies, I learned about the profound impact that mental health professionals can have on individuals and communities. I aspire to continue this journey and eventually become a clinical psychologist. The mental health field is not just a career for me; it’s a calling. I am driven by a genuine passion for helping others navigate their mental health challenges and supporting them in their journey towards wellness. I am committed to providing empathetic and evidence-based care, and I am excited to be part of a profession that prioritizes understanding and healing.

My Advocacy

My advocacy centers around mental health awareness and accessibility. I firmly believe that everyone should have access to mental health resources and support, regardless of their background or circumstances. Promoting mental health education and reducing stigma are key components of my advocacy. During my time at Northwestern, I was an executive member of the Undergraduate Psychology Association, We Are Saath, and Active Minds; the latter two organizations are dedicated to mental health advocacy and support. In my role with WAS, I contributed to initiatives aimed at promoting mental health awareness within the South Asian community. We focused on creating safe spaces for discussions about mental health, reducing stigma, and providing culturally relevant resources and support. In my role with Active Minds, I worked to increase overall mental health awareness on campus. We organized events, workshops, and campaigns to educate students about mental health issues, encourage help-seeking behaviors, and foster a supportive community.

My Professional Goals

I aim to pursue a doctoral degree in clinical psychology with a focus on neuropsychology to gain advanced knowledge and skills in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health conditions, particularly those involving cognitive and neurological aspects like cognitive deficits, brain injuries, and neurodevelopmental disorders. This specialization will enable me to provide comprehensive evaluations that inform treatment planning and interventions. I want to work in a clinical setting where I can offer neuropsychological testing services and provide evidence-based therapies to diverse populations, primarily child and adolescent populations. I aim to create a safe and supportive environment for clients to explore and address their mental health and cognitive concerns.

Blue Bird Day

Blue Bird Day fosters socialization, sensory regulation, and pre-academic learning in children ages 2–7 years in therapeutic rotations that simulate  preschool and kindergarten settings. Our compassionate therapists practice a relationship-based and family-centered approach, provide parent training, and collaborate on goals and individualized intensive treatment plans for your child.

We believe in a collaborative and multi-disciplinary team approach to therapy.  A team of occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, dietitians, developmental therapists, behavioral therapists, physical therapists, and therapeutic assistants are created for each child to ensure child and family are fully supported and the best possible results are achieved.

Options for individualized, group and virtual therapy sessions are available as well.
