My Story

I became a psychologist to help advocate for and give voice to those who are in need of help. I want to help children grow to their full potential as they are capable of such amazing things and sometimes just need the extra support of a caring team to get them there. I also want to help parents and families who are navigating this process of helping their child grow as there can be unexpected obstacles that we can work through to overcome. I have been working with children with ASD, developmental disorders, and other mental health or behavioral concerns as well as their families since 2016. I look forward to continuing to support many children and families here at Blue Bird Day and Eyas Landing!

My Advocacy

I support The Autism Program of Illinois as this organization has clinics throughout the state of IL that help supplement treatment for children who have ASD and their families. This organization works hard to provide a variety of services like diagnostics, early intervention, social skills groups, and parent support. I also support the Animal Rescue Foundation of Wheaton as they gave me my babies, Thelma and Louise, who are both black labs.

My Professional Goals

  1. My main goal is to provide families with the best care possible by helping their children receive the services that they need. I want to build a solid foundation with the families I serve to help them feel comfortable advocating for those needs and other community supports.

Blue Bird Day

Blue Bird Day fosters socialization, sensory regulation, and pre-academic learning in children ages 2–7 years in therapeutic rotations that simulate  preschool and kindergarten settings. Our compassionate therapists practice a relationship-based and family-centered approach, provide parent training, and collaborate on goals and individualized intensive treatment plans for your child.

We believe in a collaborative and multi-disciplinary team approach to therapy.  A team of occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, dietitians, developmental therapists, behavioral therapists, physical therapists, and therapeutic assistants are created for each child to ensure child and family are fully supported and the best possible results are achieved.

Options for individualized, group and virtual therapy sessions are available as well.
