My Story

As a graduate student getting my masters in Child Development, I decided to become a TA to gain new experience working with kids who have special needs. Prior to this job, I nannied for over 6 years and recently decided to leave that field to gain new experiences elsewhere. Back in September, I started working with a company part-time as a Behavior Technician doing in-home behavior therapy sessions with kids who have autism and I fell in love! Eventually, at the end of my graduate program, I will be working in a children’s hospital as a Child Life Specialist and I just know my experience working with BBD will teach me so much.

My Blue Bird Day

No previous experience, but I love the time I’ve spent with the company so far!

My Advocacy

My passion is to advocate for all people, but my heart and soul go into organizations that advocate for abused and neglected children. One of the many organization’s I support is the the Chicago Children’s Advocacy Center.

My Blue Bird Day Goals

  1. My professional goal to become a Certified Child Life Specialist to help care for children in a hospital setting.
