Professional Goals

  1. I plan to pursue medical school following my undergraduate degree. I hope to specialize in pediatrics and/or neurology.

My Story

I have spent a lot of time working with geriatric patients with memory-related disorders, Neurodegenerative disorders, and mental health disorders including Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, dementia, Schizophrenia, anxiety, and depression. I have enjoyed my time working with these individuals, however, I wanted to gain experience with a new demographic. Becoming a therapist at Blue Bird Day allows me to continue learning about developmental and neurological diseases as well as the therapy and treatment that facilitates flourishment. Introducing therapeutic practices at a young age is extremely beneficial for living out a full life, and I am excited to be an integral part of the process.

Blue Bird Day

Blue Bird Day fosters socialization, sensory regulation, and pre-academic learning in children ages 2–7 years in therapeutic rotations that simulate  preschool and kindergarten settings. Our compassionate therapists practice a relationship-based and family-centered approach, provide parent training, and collaborate on goals and individualized intensive treatment plans for your child.

We believe in a collaborative and multi-disciplinary team approach to therapy.  A team of occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, dietitians, developmental therapists, behavioral therapists, physical therapists, and therapeutic assistants are created for each child to ensure child and family are fully supported and the best possible results are achieved.

Options for individualized, group and virtual therapy sessions are available as well.
