My Story

I came across the field of occupational therapy when I was researching graduate degrees after completing my bachelor’s degree in psychology. Occupational therapy immediately sparked my interest, specifically in the pediatric community, because it centers around a play-based, holistic plan of care that seeks to understand behavior as a form of communication. As a parent, I know how important this is to families and children alike! I knew very quickly that I wanted to make a positive impact as an occupational therapist working with kids and I’ve never looked back!

My Blue Bird Day

I had the pleasure of completing my clinical fieldwork at Blue Bird Day and quickly fell in love with their “whole-child” treatment approach. The therapists take such care in collaborating with each other and each individual family to ensure that every kiddo is given the support they need. I am beyond excited to come back and work with great kiddos and their families, in addition to the amazing therapists at Blue Bird!

My Blue Bird Day Goals

  1. I want to continue to grow and learn as a therapist in order to provide the best quality of care for the families and kids that I work with.
  2. I would love to eventually get certified in ASI and hone in on my clinical expertise as it pertains to sensory integration.
