My Story

I received speech therapy as a child due to my difficulty with articulation, specifically producing /s/. While I can remember how my difficulty communicating affected me, I remember even more so the impact my speech-language pathologist had on me. She helped me to become a more confident, successful, and intelligible communicator each and every session. I appreciate the important role she had in my childhood. I strive to do the same for other children by empowering my clients, and their families, to achieve their full potential while holding true value in the therapeutic relationship.

  1. To continue my evidence-based practice learning, by attending, participating, and ultimately contributing to continuing education courses and seminars.

My Blue Bird Day

I love learning and growing each and every day I come to Blue Bird Day. Working daily alongside different disciplines, I am better able to support my clients. I find that this is a place where collaboration isn’t only available for our therapists, but encouraged and sought out! It allows each therapist to provide the best possible treatment for our families. The greatest part about my job is watching our clients improve, along with coachingeducating, and supporting their families, I enjoy reflecting back on all the progress we have been able to achieve, as a team.

Blue Bird Day

Blue Bird Day fosters socialization, sensory regulation, and pre-academic learning in children ages 2–7 years in therapeutic rotations that simulate  preschool and kindergarten settings. Our compassionate therapists practice a relationship-based and family-centered approach, provide parent training, and collaborate on goals and individualized intensive treatment plans for your child.

We believe in a collaborative and multi-disciplinary team approach to therapy.  A team of occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, dietitians, developmental therapists, behavioral therapists, physical therapists, and therapeutic assistants are created for each child to ensure child and family are fully supported and the best possible results are achieved.

Options for individualized, group and virtual therapy sessions are available as well.
