Movement Time

The goal of this week is to get your body moving by practicing some winter-themed movements!
Growing My Skills
You can incorporate this into a board game by having each action correspond to a number, and only moving the piece if your child completes the movement.
Make your own life sized board game by placing pillows, couch cushions, or pieces of paper on the floor as “spaces,” have each action correspond to a number of spaces, and see who gets across the “board” first!
Roll a second dice or pick from a deck of cards to see how many times your child should complete each movement.
Mealtime
Activity: Whipped cream and fruit
Materials:
1 serving of whipped cream of your choosing
1 serving of fruit (ex: strawberry, melon, blueberry, raspberries)

The goal of this activity is to play with whipped cream as an edible sensory activity while trying new or non preferred fruit.
Growing My Skills
Clean table in house, prepare with towels because whipped cream can be messy!
Place one serving of whipped cream on a plate or directly to table, place fruit near whipped cream.
Spread whipped cream around the table with fruit and sample.
TIP: pretend the fruits are sleighs, snowmen, sleds and boots that walk in the snow!
Language Time
Activity: Build a Fort
Stay cozy and warm on a winter day by building a pillow fort!
