My Story

Before I got into this field, my family had the opportunity to care for foster children within our home through a crisis foster organization in Chicago. Going from caring for children with complex medical and developmental needs within my own home to pursuing a career treating communication disorders in children seemed like a natural transition. During my graduate studies at Northwestern University, I discovered my passion for working with children with a variety of communication disorders in both group and individual settings. I had the unique experience to collaborate on a multidisciplinary team as a part of Northwestern’s Developmental Diagnostic Program to evaluate children ages birth to 3 for developmental delay and autism spectrum disorder. I believe that the ability to collaborate effectively with other specialties and a client’s family is a crucial part of providing effective therapy.

Testimonials

From my clients:I have my youngest at BBD as well now. He’s made leaps and bounds since starting in June! He is now communicating! We are at the beginning, and I am so excited to see all that is to come! He was nonverbal so all speech is welcomed. He loves going to school everyone is amazing, caring, and understanding. We are so grateful for all you do!”
