My Story

As young as I could remember, I always dreamt of an occupation in which I could help people and make a difference. When I grew older, I explored many options in healthcare during my college experience. I was drawn in by a strong captivation for Speech Language Pathology as I learned more and more about the field. My last semester of college, I became an undergraduate speech and hearing clinician in which I administered audiometric and language tests to evaluate clients’ hearing and speech impairments under the supervision of an SLP and an audiologist. After obtaining my Bachelor’s, I had the pleasure of becoming a Behavior Technician for Autism Home Support Services where I became more acquainted with the realm of Applied Behavior Analysis. I never had direct experience with children on the spectrum prior to this job, but I fell in love with it because it is amazing to see the change you can make in their communication abilities and everyday life. There is no comparison when working with children because it is super rewarding to see their accomplishments through the scope of your work.

My Education

Bachelor’s in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology

My Professional Goals

  1. As of right now, I hope to continue my studies and attend graduate school to pursue my Master’s in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology.
  2. In addition, I wish to continue helping children and families with special needs.

Blue Bird Day

Blue Bird Day fosters socialization, sensory regulation, and pre-academic learning in children ages 2–7 years in therapeutic rotations that simulate  preschool and kindergarten settings. Our compassionate therapists practice a relationship-based and family-centered approach, provide parent training, and collaborate on goals and individualized intensive treatment plans for your child.

We believe in a collaborative and multi-disciplinary team approach to therapy.  A team of occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, dietitians, developmental therapists, behavioral therapists, physical therapists, and therapeutic assistants are created for each child to ensure child and family are fully supported and the best possible results are achieved.

Options for individualized, group and virtual therapy sessions are available as well.
