Professional Goals

  1. As a new grad, I want to continue progressing with my occupational therapist skills.
  2. I eventually want to pursue my doctorate in occupational therapy and be able to supervise or manage a team of therapists.

My Story

I always had the desire to work in the healthcare field due to my parents being healthcare professionals, but I was always stuck on what profession I wanted to pursue. I discovered Occupational Therapy while I was in college, and I loved how OTs were so holistic with their treatment and being able to witness a person’s progress in the therapy. I was inspired by that and decided to pursue occupational therapy to make an impact on people’s lives.

Blue Bird Day

Blue Bird Day fosters socialization, sensory regulation, and pre-academic learning in children ages 2–7 years in therapeutic rotations that simulate  preschool and kindergarten settings. Our compassionate therapists practice a relationship-based and family-centered approach, provide parent training, and collaborate on goals and individualized intensive treatment plans for your child.

We believe in a collaborative and multi-disciplinary team approach to therapy.  A team of occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, dietitians, developmental therapists, behavioral therapists, physical therapists, and therapeutic assistants are created for each child to ensure child and family are fully supported and the best possible results are achieved.

Options for individualized, group and virtual therapy sessions are available as well.
