My Story
From a young age, I knew that I wanted to work with kids, but I did not know in what capacity. From playing house or school to baby sitting and working as a classroom aide, my love for children grew. In high school, my baby brother was diagnosed with Autism and started receiving EI services. I saw firsthand the impact these services, specifically OT, had on his life. Growing up with a brother with ASD has changed my view on life; it has taught me not to take anything for granted, truly treat every individual with kindness, and celebrate small victories. I knew I wanted to dedicate my life to helping those with varying abilities and OT was the place for me to do that.
