My Story

Growing up, I watched my aunt recover from multiple intensive injuries due to a car accident. Her home health therapist helped her transform with months and months of therapy. After high school, I got a job as an aide in acute care to see if this was the field for me. I knew I was in the right place when I walked in my first day and the therapist who worked with my aunt who had inspired me years and years ago was who I would be working under as an aide. It felt like a full circle, and I took it as a sign that I was meant to do this.

My Advocacy

As a previous early childhood educator, I have experience advocating for young children who are too young to have a diagnosis and therefore their needs in a daycare setting are very neglected.

My Professional Goals

  1. My biggest professional goal as a new graduate is to use this multidisciplinary clinic and the therapists I’ll be working with to learn and build my tool belt to set myself up for success in the future and give me the confidence to be a well-rounded therapist.

Blue Bird Day

Blue Bird Day fosters socialization, sensory regulation, and pre-academic learning in children ages 2–7 years in therapeutic rotations that simulate  preschool and kindergarten settings. Our compassionate therapists practice a relationship-based and family-centered approach, provide parent training, and collaborate on goals and individualized intensive treatment plans for your child.

We believe in a collaborative and multi-disciplinary team approach to therapy.  A team of occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, dietitians, developmental therapists, behavioral therapists, physical therapists, and therapeutic assistants are created for each child to ensure child and family are fully supported and the best possible results are achieved.

Options for individualized, group and virtual therapy sessions are available as well.
