Professional Goals

  1. My goal at Blue Bird Day is to acquire new skills and expand my knowledge as a BCBA in early intervention practices and work with parents to provide the best services for our clients.

My Story

As an older sister of two siblings diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, my journey has been a lifelong one. I have had many jobs throughout my life that always led me to working with individuals with disabilities. I was a paraprofessional in an elementary school, a WDSRA employee working in various inclusion programs, and an intense behavior specialist at a therapeutic day school. During my time as an intense behavior specialist, I decided to go back to school to get my Master’s in Applied Behavior Analysis. I saw firsthand how impactful ABA could be with students I worked with at the therapeutic day school. As a BCBA, I have had the pleasure to witness individualized successes and growth that motivates me everyday to continue.

My Education

Bachelor of Science in Sociology,
Illinois State University

Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis,

My Blue Bird Day

I know personally the importance early intervention can make on a child’s life and am very excited to begin my journey at Blue Bird Day.

Blue Bird Day

Blue Bird Day fosters socialization, sensory regulation, and pre-academic learning in children ages 2–7 years in therapeutic rotations that simulate  preschool and kindergarten settings. Our compassionate therapists practice a relationship-based and family-centered approach, provide parent training, and collaborate on goals and individualized intensive treatment plans for your child.

We believe in a collaborative and multi-disciplinary team approach to therapy.  A team of occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, dietitians, developmental therapists, behavioral therapists, physical therapists, and therapeutic assistants are created for each child to ensure child and family are fully supported and the best possible results are achieved.

Options for individualized, group and virtual therapy sessions are available as well.
