My Story

When I started my undergraduate education, I had recently completed 6 months of cancer treatments. I knew I wanted to find a career where I could collaborate with and help people, but I wasn’t sure what that would look like. An SLP family member helped me find occupational therapy, and I knew I found my niche. I loved that I could provide a more holistic and person-centered approach to healthcare that our system is often missing. I love being able to work directly with clients and families to help ensure they can participate in daily life and reach their goals. Throughout the first two years of my career, I worked at a local rehabilitation hospital in a variety of specialty areas including pain management, inpatient and outpatient pediatrics, acquired brain and spinal cord injuries, and upper extremity injuries. As an OT, I love that I continue to learn new things all while offering fun and innovative opportunities for clients to achieve their goals.

Blue Bird Day

Blue Bird Day fosters socialization, sensory regulation, and pre-academic learning in children ages 2–7 years in therapeutic rotations that simulate  preschool and kindergarten settings. Our compassionate therapists practice a relationship-based and family-centered approach, provide parent training, and collaborate on goals and individualized intensive treatment plans for your child.

We believe in a collaborative and multi-disciplinary team approach to therapy.  A team of occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, dietitians, developmental therapists, behavioral therapists, physical therapists, and therapeutic assistants are created for each child to ensure child and family are fully supported and the best possible results are achieved.

Options for individualized, group and virtual therapy sessions are available as well.
