Professional Goals

  1. One of my professional goals includes developing and implementing innovative nutrition programs that address the specific needs of the pediatric population at Blue Bird Day while collaborating with the different therapists on the team.
  2. Another goal is participating in ongoing professional development and training to stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in pediatric nutrition.

My Story

Since I was a child, I have always been fascinated by the power of nutrition. I developed an interest in understanding how different foods and nutrients affect our bodies and impact our overall health. As I got older, my passion for nutrition only grew stronger, and I realized that I wanted to pursue a career that would allow me to use my knowledge to help others. I began my career as a dietitian working at an independent living facility, which presented me with an opportunity to work with a variety of conditions including Prader-Willi Syndrome, Autism, cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injuries, and various behavioral disorders. This experience specifically sparked my interest in working with children. I look forward to working with the pediatric population at Blue Bird Day! I am committed to using my expertise in nutrition to make a positive impact.

My Blue Bird Day

I enjoy working at Blue Bird Day and collaborating with the different disciplines on the team!

Blue Bird Day

Blue Bird Day fosters socialization, sensory regulation, and pre-academic learning in children ages 2–7 years in therapeutic rotations that simulate  preschool and kindergarten settings. Our compassionate therapists practice a relationship-based and family-centered approach, provide parent training, and collaborate on goals and individualized intensive treatment plans for your child.

We believe in a collaborative and multi-disciplinary team approach to therapy.  A team of occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, dietitians, developmental therapists, behavioral therapists, physical therapists, and therapeutic assistants are created for each child to ensure child and family are fully supported and the best possible results are achieved.

Options for individualized, group and virtual therapy sessions are available as well.
