My Blue Bird Day

I was a therapeutic assistant from 2015-2018.

My Story

I first worked in early childhood education in 2008 when I started my first job as a soccer instructor at Lil Kickers soccer for kids. It was there where I first learned about Blue Bird Day and soon after joined the BBD team for the first time as TA. Two years ago, I left BBD to pursue a career in finance. BBD has always been more than just job for me. It’s a field that I’m passionate about and one that I genuinely believe makes a difference in a lot of kids lives. It’s great to be back and a part of the team.

Blue Bird Day

Blue Bird Day fosters socialization, sensory regulation, and pre-academic learning in children ages 2–7 years in therapeutic rotations that simulate  preschool and kindergarten settings. Our compassionate therapists practice a relationship-based and family-centered approach, provide parent training, and collaborate on goals and individualized intensive treatment plans for your child.

We believe in a collaborative and multi-disciplinary team approach to therapy.  A team of occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, dietitians, developmental therapists, behavioral therapists, physical therapists, and therapeutic assistants are created for each child to ensure child and family are fully supported and the best possible results are achieved.

Options for individualized, group and virtual therapy sessions are available as well.
