I first learned about Occupational therapy through volunteering with an Occupational therapist who was providing services to children who suffered perinatal stroke (stroke in the womb). It was very rewarding to see the progress of these children and the excitement of the family and child as their goals were being met. Creating fun and creative interventions, modifying and adapting environments, and connecting with the child and their families, all assured me that Occupational Therapy was the career path I wanted to take.

1. I want to expand my knowledge and skills in order to provide the best client centered care possible to each child and their families.
2. I would also want to gain experience in feeding and early intervention.

Blue Bird Day fosters socialization, sensory regulation, and pre-academic learning in children ages 2–7 years in therapeutic rotations that simulate  preschool and kindergarten settings. Our compassionate therapists practice a relationship-based and family-centered approach, provide parent training, and collaborate on goals and individualized intensive treatment plans for your child.

We believe in a collaborative and multi-disciplinary team approach to therapy.  A team of occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, dietitians, developmental therapists, behavioral therapists, physical therapists, and therapeutic assistants are created for each child to ensure child and family are fully supported and the best possible results are achieved.  

Options for individualized, group and virtual therapy sessions are available as well.
