My Story

I’ve always known that I wanted to work with kids! I grew up in Los Angeles and for some strange reason decided to leave the beautiful weather and come to Chicago for my undergraduate career. However, quickly upon arrival, I discovered what an amazing city it is! Post-graduation I decided to move to London for my master’s in child psychology and while abroad I had the amazing opportunity to intern at a child development center where I discovered ABA. I absolutely fell in love with the idea of helping kiddos with ASD reach their full potential. When I returned to Chicago I quickly became an RBT and began working as a behavioral therapist. I recently enrolled at Ball State University where I will begin my journey to become a BCBA.

My Blue Bird Day

I love how supportive and positive everyone is at BBD! It’s an amazing community where everyone wants to see you succeed. I’ve only been with BBD since April ‘20, but I can tell that this is a special place where I can grow and learn as a behavioral therapist.

Blue Bird Day

Blue Bird Day fosters socialization, sensory regulation, and pre-academic learning in children ages 2–7 years in therapeutic rotations that simulate  preschool and kindergarten settings. Our compassionate therapists practice a relationship-based and family-centered approach, provide parent training, and collaborate on goals and individualized intensive treatment plans for your child.

We believe in a collaborative and multi-disciplinary team approach to therapy.  A team of occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, dietitians, developmental therapists, behavioral therapists, physical therapists, and therapeutic assistants are created for each child to ensure child and family are fully supported and the best possible results are achieved.

Options for individualized, group and virtual therapy sessions are available as well.
